Staff members of Acesse Corporation attended the 2013 Benefit for Innocence Gala to represent the Acesse Love Foundation; staff included President Bob Kinsella, Founder Steve Renner, CFO Amy Ayd, Corporate Counsel Mark Kallenbach, and many others. The Acesse Love Foundation was the presenting sponsor of the event because of its donation of $ 25,000 to the cause.
?This benefit was more than a great opportunity to gain a new sponsor through Acesse, we can now begin a long-standing relationship that will benefit a great number of people,? said Erika Applebaum, Executive Director of the Minnesota Innocence Project.
The 2013 Benefit for Innocence Gala took place at the Graves Hotel in Minneapolis, MN on October 17, 2013. It was put on by the Minnesota Innocence Project, which works to free people that were imprisoned for crimes they did not commit and to keep the innocent from being wrongly convicted. The benefit was successful in raising over $ 80,000 and counting.
Keynote speaker of the event Brian Banks, Lineman for the NFL Atlanta Falcons, delivered a sincere, genuine story of his experience of being wrongfully convicted of raping and kidnapping a female, and what the California Innocence Project was able to do for him; the Innocence Project is a national organization. ?Banks? story was incredibly moving, it was great to see for the first time what the Acesse Love Foundation?s contribution can do for individuals facing injustice,? said Steve Renner, Founder of Acesse.
