Surface Pro is good only for those who desperate needs to you Microsoft applications. If you don’t, go to an Apple Store and by a MacAir. I was a windows user for almost since the begging and I say that I suffered to much and spent too much with Microsoft for poor designed products, poor user interface. My wife choose to buy a Surface, but after less than a month, the external keyboard and pen simply stopped working and now it halts when it try to update de firmware.

you cant install stuff onto desktop but i still love it
gotta say I’m impressed, the os is so efficient with the ram and and does’t sacrifice functionality, as the ios has done for many years which force users to install other apps t make the diff (I’m talking from experience – refunded my ipad within a month)

Definitely, many people, including myself, use it for school. It can’t do everything that a full laptop can do, but with the inclusion of office, plus a wide variety of apps, you can do a lot with it.

Why are people giving this tablet such a hard time? I’ve heard nothing, but good reviews from the people that own this hardware and I’m a person not concerned with games or meaningless play apps (I’ve got a 3DS with quality gaming) and I just wanna browse the internet, use the Microsoft Word,Excel, and Powerpoint apps (and check out the music apps). So what exactly is not good about this?
I love my Surface RT and I cannot wait until 8.1 releases. I have been using my RT since March. I ditched my 17″ bulky Toshiba laptop
