I used Microsoft Office 2003 up until the year 2010. I torrented Office 2010 on my laptop a few weeks ago after using LibreOffice and having software compatibility issues. Microsoft is adding features that the majority does not use or need. making Office 2013 a waste of money.

  2. Armando Aranda says:

Can you please use correct grammar and punctuation? I cannot understand what the fuck you are saying, dumb ass.

  3. Sky Lightna says:

I’m sorry for trying to correct the dude. :P

  4. Armando Aranda says:

I fucking think your should learn how to use correct punctuation before you put up a fucking comment, dumb ass.

  5. VestigeFinder says:

It’s just a new office. You definitely don’t have to upgrade. But for people like me just getting and owning office the new features are nice.

  6. zachary pon says:

    work with 32 bit?

  7. Everything Cool says:

    i use libreoffice now

  8. Chris Cramer says:

Thanks for the review. Another pointless “upgrade” from Microsoft. I tied it for day and un-installed it.

When your buying office 2013 for $400 you are really spending the money on word 2013 which is the only program that has major changes and is the best between libreoffice and office 2013. Calc and Excel are pretty much the same in functionality except for some minor differences between basic and vba macros which can be also written in python or javascript in libreoffice. I actually prefer the ribbon interface but you can add as many toolbars and icons in libreoffice as well.

  10. d delexandruz says:

MS changed the Office 2013 license from 1 machine for life to being able to transfer to another but you have to call MS first to be able to do it. I think between libreoffice and office 2013 only MS word stands out between the 2 suits. I ran a couple formulas under column A then dragged it to column amf and row 3000 in both excel and calc and both took the same amount of time to calculate the results but excel used 600Mbytes while calc used 384Mbytes.

    same here dude :)

Most people will be fine sticking with Office 2007, and 2010. This adds social integration, cloud integration, some minor tweaks, a new theme, and a big of changes to make tablet use better. Other then that Office 2010 is fine (Which I in fact am using currently on my Windows 8 Desktop PC)

  13. RamdomStickman says:

This guy has no clue what Aero is lol. He thinks the Modern UI style is Aero

  14. krah8052 says:

Al last, a decent preview given by someone speaking English as their first language. If you could do this speaking American, it would be even better. Joke!!

Your video is well done and a great preview. Thanks!

Looks like this upgrade was pretty pointless. It looks exactly like 2010 with Skydrive integration, yet they expect people to fork over more money for this?

I mean, don’t fix what ain’t broken and all, but expecting us to pay full price for this is a bit presumptuous.

  16. José Alejandro Escobar Sánchez says:

I think I’ll keep the 2010 version for now.

  17. Sky Lightna says:

I think you mean Metro not Aero

Whenever I open a “blank document” the program tells me Word has stopped working. Do you know how to fix it?

  22. Sakuragi Rokurouta says:

It might look a tad better on windows 8,
You made this video at midnight?

  23. AnimatedSam says:

    it looks so ugly

  24. captjc says:

I don’t mind the ribbon so I will take 2010 over 2013 any day. Our company just upgraded and damn it’s ugly. Everything looks like a bad Web 2.0 application from 2009. Just flat and monochrome white and grey. Pretty much one of the reasons I don’t want Windows 8.

  25. bjsoong says:

Been following the comment war, and well if you look at 3rd point, he said Windows is good :/ He never said he didnt like windows.

  26. Nikorasu Chan says:

Please stop debating, okokok, MS Office ftw… is that fine for you? I hate it when people are giving me headache and tell me ridiculous BS… especially when its from a Microsoft fanboy… I will stop debating here from now on, good day sir!!

  27. Nikorasu Chan says:

Wrong, it’s not 20 dollars, it’s $109.99. Plus, I live outside of US, so I have to pay 3.5 times more. And that price is just for basic word, excel, presentation and onenotes. If Linux sucked, why do Youtube and Google (powered by Linux) exists? How about Android (powered by Linux)? In my country, I have to pay for the Microsoft Word in order for it to be included. And don’t me “sucks for me because I don’t live in US” because I don’t like living in US, I love my country more than any countries.

  28. Nikorasu Chan says:

I came here because of nostalgia. I used Windows 95 when I was very young, and usually open up Microsoft Word 95 and spam on the keyboard some random alphabets. Not to mention I want to see how different the old MS Office compared to nowadays. Please stop this nonsense argument. I love Linux now, and will always be. If you love Windows, that is fine. Because of your comment that didn’t make much sense such as ‘downgraders’ which makes me wanted to tell you that it’s not true. Be mature, okay?

  29. GovermentMann says:

20 dollars isn’t much, Linux always sucked in my opinion and always will, Most stores like Walmart include it for free if you buy it from there store :), ANd if you dont like windows why are you here?

  30. Nikorasu Chan says:

    1) I don’t pay just to edit texts, unless you run a giant corporation, LibreOffice is just fine for small and medium enterprises.
    2) MS Office 2010 only comes with Windows IF you paid for it.
    3) Both Linux and Windows are both good, Linux on Android and server, while WIndows for home users.
    4) Linux has lesser programs, but most of them works far better and free of charge, such as Kdenlive.
    5) Hallo, Linux have advanced UI too!
    6) Who pays for a program that repackages every 3 years!?

  31. GovermentMann says:

Libre office is a terrible version of MS office. MS Office 2010 comes with pretty much every new version of Windows. Windows is still far better then any Linux and there are barely and good programs for linux other then programs that don’t work half as good as any laggy mac port program and look like a MS-DOS program.

  32. Nikorasu Chan says:

You have to buy MS Office and Windows versions separately… Many of Linux distros actually comes with LibreOffice pre-installed free of charge.

  33. GovermentMann says:

Libreoffice is for linux downgraders, MS office comes with every version of WIndows from XP to Win 8.

  34. Jakey4510 says:

I might get windows 95 WITH Internet cause you get suprised AHHH!!! No Opera

  35. Jakey4510 says:

I like it maybe i want windows 95

  36. AngstFisch says:

    Windows 95 is the BAAAWWMMB

  37. Rukirisan says:

If your not a power user you don’t need MSOffice, libreoffice is just fine just not as powerful.

  38. Vaati Reborn says:

I wished i had a computer with MS Windows 95 not to use but to see the history!

  39. Vaati Reborn says:

    2010 blows D:

  40. Diostillrocks says:

For home users Office 95 or 97 will still work just fine. Some people may find some of the power features on later versions to be a little intimidating.

  41. RubberDuckyToy says:

I remember this demo. It came with PC Magazine issue that I bought just before the release of Windows 95.

  44. tlink166 says:

I was just thinking I started programming in 1992 in UNIX and then switched to DOS and Windows later on being a C programmer. And I saw windows 3.0 go to 3.1 which was huge because it included all the NetBeui and networking stuff. And then I saw Windows ’95 which looked a little like IBM OS/2 Warp For people who were not there and like to throw stones at Microsoft I can tell you this was a monumental step forward! Exceptional! Unparalleled! Historic! Nothing less.

  45. DOGBRO2 says:

I need this office right now!
