Bing fucking sucks, it never finds what I’m looking for.
so funny watching these 2 retards talking about nothing… just nothing. M$ listening? wtf is wrong with u? the only thing they r listening is their own asses farting.
– Tom. Drugs are bad, mmm-kay?
0:08 – It’s not the damn BUTTON we care about. We want the Metro Start Screen GONE! Metro has no place on the desktop.
Just happy we are getting the “Start” Button Back.
calm down Tom. Take a cup of tea mate! xD
Wait, wasn’t this ALREADY a thing? You can go to the desktop in Win8…
Ubuntu would be a better Desktop OS if industry standard software are developed in it. Some of the software currently available on Ubuntu are good but that only works if you work alone.
Windows 8 – to most people computer literacy in a particular Operating System is somewhat of a skill. Change is good but imagine changing a skill. If one day people decided that you should play basketball/video games with your feet or draw with your mouth instead of hands. Would you still play basketball/video games or draw? Windows 8 seem to focus more on mobile devices. Cons of mobile – charging, inconvenience of charger wires & durability of wires, reliance on battery & limited battery life.
How do you advertise Linux? Install Windows.
Sort of…
WINDOWS 8 IS SHIT!!! 7 IS WAY BETTER
I like windows 8
All the headlines I read shout out Windows brings back the Start button! But, at least from what I have learned, what is really going to happen is that your 3rd part Start button, like Start8, will be disabled in 8.1. On top of that, when you click the windows 8.1 Start button, it is going to dump you back in that Tile world crap. Isn’t that exactly what those people who went thru all the trouble to download a Start solution were trying to avoid? My guess is 8.1 is going to make people angrier.
“SORT OF…combine the minor…SORT OF changes…they’ve added in SORT OF… a new SORT OF…search engine that’s SORT OF something that is gonna SORT OF pull people away from google…” It’s, Sort of, painful to listen to.
There are now windows in windows anymore? really? why did CNN hire her, she clearly don’t know what shes talking about. Windows 8 is clearly the best os of all.
Windows 8 sucks so bad. The new 8.1 looks just as bad.
MS blows it again. Can’t even add a start button correctly. Steve Balmer should have been fired so long ago it is not even funny.
Fuck you BRITISH CUNT
he looked so nervous when she asked any thing
It’s not about the start button, it’s about the start menu and it’s functions M$ idiots!!!!
its not really the old start button……its just a button that sends the user to the metro interface…….download start menu 8 if you want it.
uh software compatibility?
Lmao he’s blinking so fast
Thanks for the video guys.
I actually have a new touch screen tablet device (Acer W510, FYI), but I will add the keyboard dock at some point for greater productivity usage.
Even if I was just getting it for touch only, I was very cautious and nervous about going with Win8, since I have a Win7 “desktop” (actually 16″ laptop) and an Android touch smart phone. However, after about 30 mins of trial and error mucking around I was very happy with Win8.
Now, Win8 or Android for my next smartphone?
first I do not feel like I have to do what everyone else does nor do I do what microsoft dictates. If you like Win7 good, if you like win8 good. It just bothers me that win8 gets all these negative reviews by people who have never really used it. I like win8 better and I just hope microsoft does not revert back to a win7 look just because all the people who never tried win 8 are complaining. I say just give win8 a fair try is all before making an opinion.
If they had half a brain they would include all previous interface looks and more and let the the user decide what they want their experience to be. Maybe even quick toggle to the appearance of a previous version. Even better would be actually being able to run old programs that ran on those old OSs. I tell you there are a lot of people sitting on old computers because of one obsolete app that only works on some old version of Windows. If it ran on a new version they would buy a new machine.
The best thing I did for Windows 8 was install one of the free “start button” programs. From there you can launch all your “Apps” or standard Windows programs. “Metro” is great for tablet use but when you sit at your desktop and want to get some work done, you need the desktop and you don’t want to fip out of it.
Then keep your windows8 nobody is forcing you “not to like w8” just like no one is forcing them to like it. Are you a crowd follower and feel you have to do what everyone else does or what Microsoft dictates? I could not care less one way or another. Life will still go on either way.
learn the WinKey short cuts and you might have Win8 licked…it’s really not a big deal…what happened to curiosity? the fount of learning?
1. Your desktop is still there.
2. There is a start menu it’s just configured differently and not just a little button on the lower left. It’s easier and faster if you bother to learn it.
3. I don’t use touch I only use a mouse and it works great. Watch some youtube videos fiddle with it and in one day you will have it down. Win8 is superior to win7.
This is crazy. People! Stop watching video and comments of people complaining who have never used windows8! I didn’t want it for the same reasons but when I had to buy a new computer it had win8. I thought I would have problems but no. You have to be retarded if you can’t figure it out. Anything you can do on win7 you can do on win8. It’s much much easier. I do not use touch I only use a mouse. I hope they do not change win8 because I do not want to go back to the lame desktop look.
Where is the desktop? I have to do what to find a file? Are you crazy? How do I shut this computer off? Oh not try to cut and paste.
I don’t want touch! Just a desktop with gadgets! Metro can go but the performance and stability can stay.
really strange decision just as people are getting used to seeing it and starting to accept it in the marketplace, courtesy of Nokia who have bounced back from the dead. Don’t get me started on Nokia shareholders, i just sold my shares because of them complaining
Imagine a Prada phone w/ a monochrome Windows OS?
Having to relearn any OS is or becomes tedious to most users, especially when it offers no relevant improvements.
If companies only listened to consumers then innovation would stop. I have WIN 8 and you dont need a start menu, you have the desktop and touch is optional.
I became interested in “shorting” a stock when I saw that famous video clip of Ballmer jumping and screaming on stage in an apparently psychotic state. I am now getting ready to press the “sell” button.
Windows 8 is technically superior to windows 7 in every way. Its the most solid OS they’ve made. Their ui choices may have set some people off, but not everyone.
I don’t get the complaints, there’s no task bar? Yes there is, in the exact same spot there’s just no button it’s functions are insanely similar I’m chalking half the complaints up to sheer ignorance or people just haven’t tried it for more than 5 minutes. I guess the fastest, lightest OS that was offered at 15 bucks for a while has no benefits right?
1. i need a desktop
2. i need a friking start menu
3. i do not need touch… i got my android for that !!!
the god damned auto-updated function just killed my solid 3days of good work infront of my face!! without any warning! YES! it’s win8!
On which gods name engineers of Microsoft think their insignificant detailed program update is more important than my unrepeatable creation??
UP-date? UP URS!!!
If companies would listen to people and see what the people want before they create something then just maybe they wouldn’t fail so much.
