I am willing to bet that most of the users who say they hate windows 8 have either never tried it, are trying to lie to look cool, or are just plane assholes who don’t want to accept that windows 8 is just the same as 7. I am running it on my old Windows XP, and it runs faster than it was ever before… so people can suck their own insults and comments if they please….

The best is Surface Pro, of course, but if you need a lightweight PC then go with the RT 😉

Wasn’t a milestone year in my eyes. Last year, I personally had 5 customers come to me with new Windows-8-based laptops, asking me to put Linux on them. All 5 customers have been satisfied with the transition to a stable, efficient, and secure Operating System.

    Sad truth.

  13. MsPwain says:

No, but I notice that microsoft puts BING under “a milestone” label. Says everything about their lack of reality.

  14. Danni Rokiki says:

on a windows 8 phone you could though.

    BAM! im out~

go into settings, disable automatic updates. or, when it says “restarting in 15 minutes” try hitting the postpone button instead of ignoring it. if you are playing a game that forces fullscreen and therefore overlays on top of the warnings, disabling automatic updates would be best

  16. geezusz says:

Did anyone notice Safari running on that laptop showing bing?

  17. zaghy2zy says:

Actually it does ask. You just choose to ignore it.

  18. rieselsanta says:

How about a milestone where you don’t restart my computer without my permission?

How’d you like it if you were doing something, anything, and I came in and destroyed it? Let’s use your Surface monopoly game as an example. What if the Gates family was playing an awesome game of Monopoly and I came in and destoyed all their progress in the game? Billy Gates would be pretty pissed, wouldn’t he? Now multiply that by millions of times every tuesday night.

STOP RESTART MY COMPUTER without asking

    William,

I LOVE their products as well! And I also recruit for Microsoft Retail stores. We could have a store coming to your area, or maybe there is one already! If you or someone you know want to experience Microsoft on a whole new level, let us know!
