Libre Office (go into the general settings of each program (Writer/Word,
Calc/Excel)> load/save> and choose the MS version/extension to “save as” by
default (usually the 2003/XP version is best). For instance, Libre saves
documents as .odf (open document format)- where MS Word uses .doc. Change
the settings & you have a free version of Office. FREE!

Your instructions were great. I did everything you showed but after
changing Always to Never as I closed out of the program it asked if I
wanted to save the changes. I said yes and then it gave an error message
saying access denied. It wouldn’t save the changes from Always to Never.
Now what should I do?
