This is the best windows 8 advert but the traveller one is the second best.
I can’t bear the one with the building in… I don’t know why though ?_?
My little niece really loves this Windows 8 spot, I must admit I’m quite
charmed as well.

Just saw this on TV and it got me thinking. Is “Everything at once” really
a good goal for a UI? One of the reasons I use GNOME 3 is the fact it shows
me only what I need, which is often only one thing at a time.
Distraction-free computing, a goal of GNOME 3, makes sense to me.
Bombarding a user with competing streams of data, as Windows 8 does is an
interesting contrast, and I can’t see the benefit. What do you think?

Have you seen this Windows 8 ad on your local TV?
Two things.
1. I can only imagine that Redmond were worried about Windows 8 looking
like technicolour vomit in the promotional TV spot, and put the highly
disturbing Lenka segment in black and white for “contrast”. Ye Gods, it’s

2. The haters have already come in their pants with self-congratulatory

Windows 8 is alittle difficult but I can see what their aim was. Its a new
way. So its not that bad.
+Windows 8 with Lenka
