I find it kind of hypocritical for you to claim that Microsoft is just
playing catch up while praising Apple. Apple hasn’t done anything
Revolutionary since Jobs died. I also find it funny that you say that you
can’t just change the layout of Windows so suddenly. YouTube does that all
the time and people defend that decision stating that “you’ll get used to
it” (which you do btw). Saying Windows feels like old technology is
pathetic. Windows has a much more minimalistic design than Mac OS X. I
agree with the fact that they should’ve gotten someone from the outside and
that they should scrap modern UI. Agree that Bing needs to die already. I
doubt even their own employees use it. Finally, Microsoft is actually
loosing money on the Xbox so if anything they should kill that as well.

At the beginning he says “there is too much change in windows that its a
shock to the users” and at the end he says “they should totally change the
company, give it a new name, because people want something new”

  5. JerTheGeek says:

I agree, it does seem like Microsoft is trying to play catch up. They seem
to be really falling behind when it comes to getting it right. They have a
good idea with Windows 8, but I think it is just too bold and is trying to
do too much at once. Microsoft should just slow down a bit and focus and
tablets and PCs as separate devices, like Apple is doing with iOS and Mac
OS X. iOS and OS X are two awesome OSes, and part of what makes them so
great is that they don’t overlap functions. iOS is mobile, and OS X is
desktop, without either trying to be something the other is always doing.
Windows is great, but Microsoft should focus on making a great tablet OS,
and refining their desktop OS to make a good experience for both those
    devices.

I think that with the next Windows OS, they should fuse the desktop and
touch interface of Windows 8, so it felt new but easy to use. They should
stop “over-innovating” their systems, like they did with W ME, Vista and 8.
They should only slightly upgrade their system after doing a stable release
(XP, 7). DO NOT make an upgrade to an unstable and not good OS!

The biggest problem is that they do not matchup with Apple. Apple do OSes
every year, with a slight change, rather than a complete new system every 4
year. They should also drop their price tag of operating systems and
programs, Apple offer OS X and iLife and iWork for free now, but for
Windows they don’t have the good iLife-style programs, Windows costs 100$
the cheapest version, Word costs 150$.

It’s important to care about what a customer wants, not just make stuff for
    pure cash!

They also own Skype now. If I have to say Microsoft is trying to do
everything, and when you do that its kind of hard to focus on so many
things and delievering each in great quality. That is what happened. To the
xbox one, they tried to make it more than just a gaming console, but of
doing that they just confused everyone and fucked up the console, now its
more like a pc but proyected in a big screen and their voice command center
is not that good. They should focus now on making their pcs and laptops
more sexy looking and also bring windows 9. Which I hope will be better
than win8 and more “cleaner”. Like apple OS. In the end most consumers want
pretty machines. And easy to use tech.

I’m actually using a Windows Phone at the moment so ummmm…Microsoft could
actually make their phones better with more games and apps with less
glitches, improve their camera (for HTC), and make their Internet Explorer
better with better with less glitches on the mobile versions of their
websites. Other that everything else is good to me

What can i say im a pc gamer and will only use windows because gaming on
the mac is a big no no. Very little games compared to pc and it just does
not feel right. Now that said when im not gaming my other computer is a
imac cost me 1400 buck new and well imo the only reason i got it was
because i was kinda on the fence about mac and pc, well lets just say im
typing this on my gaming pc. Mac is great just to browse the web but
anything else well its kinda like IOS restrictive. Im with you i dont
really like windows 8 but i would take win 7 over anything at this point.
It just works and its what i want out of a gaming pc. It’s like IOS vs
    Android whatever fits you best.

Mac will always be better than windows. End of story.

  14. CyberJ says:

“PC are gonna be a thing of the past” XD Cracked me up. Nothing will
replace the self built monsters in every tech enthusiast, or gamer’s home,
its a staple, and that will never change. Why would I ever trade my i7,
32gb, 256 SSD plus 5 TB HDDs, GTX 780 OC… for anything else on the
market? When at home, I ALWAYS use that, with big 27″ 1440p monitors, its
just stupid to use a laptop at home. I have a Sony Vaio Z, a Samsung Ativ
9+ or a MBA 2012 for when I am leaving home. Its just funny to see people
use their dinky laptops and tablets at home and thinking they will ever
replace a PC desktop. Windows being old? XD Again, get a chuckle out of
that one too, the flexibility, and infinite number of developers for
Windows makes Mac OS look like a child with a fancy dress on. Kind of a
perfect Apple fanboy video, try to be a bit more unbiased, maybe I’ll come
back to this channel. I own quite a bit of Apple gear, so not an Apple
hater or whatever you might be thinking.

Bottom line, The Windows 8 software is terrible. It’s the only reason I
haven’t gotten a Windows Surface. I bought a laptop with windows 8 thinking
it would be even more simple than and Apple OS computer. I think that Apple
needs to step up and make their iPads with SD card slots and split screens.
When I’m trying to watch a basketball game and type up a google doc I need
two different devices with Apple products. That’s what I’m looking for in
    iOS 8.

  17. Will Theo says:

Ty no offense but you don’t know what you’re talking about.

PS4 may have sold more consoles but Xbox ONE is more profitable because of
they charge more, and the cost to make each console is less.

Why would they drop the price $100 bucks?

Did you even do BASIC Google research??

  18. Alex says:

You feel like your using old technology when using Windows? That’s how I
feel when I use a Mac. Everyone has a different opinion.

  19. Kev Lew says:

No. No, I do not use Bing.

  20. vinay narayan says:

I have been using Windows XP for years and decided it was time to get a new
computer. A year ago I saw Windows 8 in a shop, it looked slick but it
seemed to a Ipad clone. I thought ok if I want to buy an IPad I will buy an
Ipad, and I will never buy a windows 8 machine. I got a Macbook air
instead. My other problem with windows is the virus situation, I can’t help
think Microsoft profits from this selling anti-virus software, they could
make their operating system more secure but then they will lose out on the
anti-virus bandwagon. Microsoft need to ditch Windows 8 and release an
improved version of Windows 7, will less updates. The updates is another
reason why I won’t go back to Windows. You switch on your computer and the
fucking updating for an hour, thats an hour wasted. If you product needs to
updated every other day then it must be really crap.

I’ve been trying to learn how to set up a form where I (for example) enter
a Customer ID# (in a CUSTID field), and the Customer Name, Address, etc…
is automatically populated in the appropriate fields. I can then fill-out
the rest of the form and save it as a new record. Do you cover this in any
    of your tutorials? Thank You.

  33. 599CD Computer Training says:

There really aren’t that many differences. If you Google “whats new in
Access 2013” you should find Microsoft’s page with all of the changes. They
removed pivottables/charts and changed “text” to “short text” and “memo” to
“long text,” but aside from that, the AVERAGE user won’t notice much of a
    difference.

I don’t have access as it did not come with my office software. I did get

compare and if your methods work similarly on that program?

Thanks….I like your teaching method. I am curious to learn both access
