Microsoft’s original Surface (now called PixelSense)

It’s 1st version was announced in 2007 and shipped to customers in 2008,
though the idea was apparently originally thought off back in 2001.

With multi-touch, multi-user and object recognition, this thing would have
    felt sci-fi even in 2007.

Sometimes you forget that there is a lot of innovative work that happens at
    Microsoft.

    Here’s more to innovation!

With the announcement of the (new) Microsoft Surface, the original has been
rebranded as “PixelSense”. Those of us who remember what Surface used to be
can now watch this video and see everything that it now lacks.

I know I’m no tech expert, but I was really hoping this tech was going to
make it into MS first-party tablet.
