Great review!! Cleared alot up for me when choosing a windows tablet. No RT
for me. I need full windows

  2. Bruno Santos says:

Ei Lisa. Great review. I have an opportunity of getting a Surface RT, the
first one, with student discount. With type cover and 32gb for 280$. Do you
thing I spend some more and go with ASUS T100 or do I get the surface? I
really enjoy the build quality of it! Does the ASUS havê good build
quality? On video things can appear a bit different.

Thanks and keep going with your awsome reviews. ;)

I just bought the ASUS T100 and have been using for a couple days. I really
like it. One thing she did not mention is the sound quality, on the ASUS it
is great with quite good volume. I installed Chrome and Firefox and both
work fine. She is correct about the touch pad, I would give it a 4 of 5
stars. I think it has pretty good quality and the screen seems bright to
me. I picked this up at a Microsoft Store in Miami and only Paid $299 for
64GB and the key board. Pretty sweet deal. I like that it is full Windows
and can download straight off the internet and not just the Microsoft
Store. Like I said I have only had it a couple days but so far I love it
    and would recommend it.

  4. Red's Gaming says:

I really did want full windows but I could hold off for now the windows
store has most the stuff i need and it’s growing really fast the asus
screen just looks really bad in my opinion and the cameras aren’t to good
either. Then don’t forget the surface 2 has some cool things that come with
it box with 200gb of sky drive with premium Skype account that allows use
    to wifi satellites

  5. TheMinecraftwizzards says:

ASUS all the way for me

  6. Cladio Juliano says:

Hey Lisa, got one more question for you. If you had to choose between the
type cover or touch cover what would you go with? I’m having a hard time
deciding which to go with. I’ll be using the device more for art than
anything else, but i could see myself doing a lot of emailing and invoicing
on it as well. What do you think?

  7. Phatsnake says:

ooo I see Diablo 3 installed and yay Skyrim mention :D

  8. Alrynec says:

RT actually it’s not worth the money, will go for the asus, it’s cheaper
    and more usable

  9. v10letblues says:

There is talk that MS is giving up on RT, do I would be really hesitant to
get anything with RT. For the money I don’t think you can go wrong with the
    ASUS.

  10. Raj Roy says:

    I will go for ASUS

  11. mtbown1 says:

love this smackdown! Thank you lisa! Can you please do a review on the new
acer iconia w510 it also has the bay trail id like to know your thoughts

  12. Zak Erkfitz says:

thank u this is very help ful

  13. BEGRProductions says:

Could you do a review on the Dell Venue 11 pro?

  14. SunamiDevil says:

Do you think you could get a review in for the Transformer book Trio? I
    think that would be great.

  15. Debbie Gould says:

Good comparison. First time someone explained RT vs Windows 8.1

  16. Adrienne Byrne says:

FYI Best Buy is selling the surface pro for $200 on black friday

  17. Göran Heintz says:

Does the keyboard work while not connected? Think about using the asus
sometimes connected to a monitor so wonder if I need to get a second
wireless keyboard or if i can use it?

  18. Sigvulcanas says:

It’s hard to decide I love the surface design but I don’t like it’s locked
down and doesn’t have a keyboard included. The T100 has what I want but
quality seems to be an issue and the display doesn’t seem so great.

  19. Matthew LeGrand says:

Could the T100 run stream, and if so, generally how well can it run games?
From 2D platformers to strategy games like Civilization, where would you
draw the line and say it’s “unplayable”?

  20. tobejw12 says:

I thought that the review was almost fair however the price difference is
not explained well here. I’m typing and writing this comment from a t100.
The price for a 32gig full windows 8.1 tablet computer is 378 dollars after
tax in CA. the windows surface is 450 as a starting point plus the keyboard
which starts at 100 bucks more. The build quality on the t100 is pretty
good and if you own a asus laptop already typing will come natural to you.
So for 550 bucks+ tax you can have a lesser windows experience on the
surface. I loved being able to install steam and just about anything so far
i wanted on this device. How much the reviewer downplayed the windows store
in this video is a shame, the store is awful. Coming from the android
platform or apple you will be astounded at how bad the store is. I love
that every time I can’t find an app on the store i just can go online and
download it to the asus. I was thinking about writing a review on this asus
tablet and now that ive seen what other people are saying i might just do
    that.

  21. PowRandomnessOfEverything says:

Thank god this exists. I can’t decide between them two. My main problem is
the display, and cameras. Besides, the touch/type cover is a lot more
pretty. On the other hand, the keyboard already comes with asus
    transformer…

  22. avalons343 says:

    @Raisin Toast

I also have the tf300. But the t100 is no where near the same quality as
far as build goes. if it was it wouldn’t cost less..

If it were of equal build though, i would have it already :P

  23. John Aldave says:

It would be nice if you also can make a review for the Sony Vaio Tap 11,
and smackdown between that and the Surface Pro 2. I’m also cusious about
the emerging Asus Transformer Trio, if you can get access to that hardware
would be nice. I do love your reviews and I’m really looking forward on
    seeing more from you.

  24. rpaliwal09 says:

Thank you very much for the review! This was incredibly informative and
helped me understand the differences between these two devices. I think I’m
    going with the Surface 2

  25. GModPlaya says:

I’m glad you know the proper specs plus how to pronounce company names and
lingo correctly. You’re probably the 1% of reviewers here that know what
    they are talking about.
