i want a small cut of the money from something i put all my time and effort into making. im sorry but fuck used games

  2. rvw85 says:

You know, to fix this, Microsoft COULD try to push Gamestop to pay them and the publishers a small percentage of the profits made by selling Microsoft’s/game developer’s used games and used accessories. But apparently they don’t have very much brain matter left on the xbox project.

Now you’re taking it a bit too far.
    😛
I do believe we are of an accord on the subject…

  5. smartguyjaja says:

cause gamestop steals the industrys money

  6. BouncekDeLemos says:

Seriously, I don’t understand it either. I hate the idea of digital-only. Why can’t we just have both?

  7. hunterMH1 says:

i dont understand why we cant have the option to buy digital or disc like we can now

  8. slipcurve says:

Yeah MS has an agenda, the same as all other companies: to make money.

In that light it’s unlikely that they had a secret board meeting discussing “how to fuck up the launch and give our competitor the edge”, if that’s what you are suggesting.

People give these companies too much credit. They are not well oiled machines that execute dr.evil plans with laser precision. They are just a group of hairless monkeys and they make mistakes. The bigger groups tend to make bigger mistakes.

  9. BouncekDeLemos says:

All businesses have agendas and strategies. But it’s how you handle them that directs their certain outcome. It’s always risk with a little speculation.
Forget about trying to predict the future, I just wish most companies be more compromisable/understanding and less condescending on their current business decisions.
It’s kinda how I see it anyways.

  10. иazaxprime says:

I posit they never intended to allow any of the family sharing, and they had this “whole thing” down on paper long ago.
You don’t make billions annually without having all possible outcomes mapped out.
None of this is shocking, TBH.
The initial official announcements, responses, the discourse on policies… none of it.
I can’t really imagine much original data coming out of this except that which will be useful to the MS R&D and marketing departments.
MS has an agenda, strategy, and that’s it…

  11. BouncekDeLemos says:

You can, but with discs instead of just digital. The family sharing thing was to allow your family members up to 10 people to share the same game. But now that you can just freely trade and share like we’ve always been. IMO, there was really no reason for limited digital sharing in the first place but that’s just me.

  12. hunterMH1 says:

what do you mean you cant share games with your family and friends?

  13. CarlDaLama says:

Going to disregard everything you just said as you don’t seem to know what you just replied to.
With “screwing up” were refering to keeping the budget too tight for what they promised, none of thoose products you mentioned is associated with beeing bad because of that reason.

Both consoles are 50$ a year to play online

  15. tnsvictory says:

windows millenium, windows vista, zune(personally i liked them buuut), and kinda windows 8….its been their thing since 2000

  16. Bob Mutsaards says:

If they don’t have a queue im pretty sure it will be like that.

  17. CarlDaLama says:

Games that have constant patching and such sells with fee’s. Believe it or not but people don’t work for free. It’s like asking for free maintence of a skyscraper just because the builders got paid for building it.

They maintain a game to a certain extent until it looses it’s glory days or when they run out of profit.

  18. CarlDaLama says:

So when in history did Microsoft get known for screwing up like that?
Microsoft is not EA or Blizzard. (The sims, diablo 3 for example.)

  19. ShadyRECS says:

You obviously dont have a fucking idea of what you are talking about.

    stupid noob.

  20. TechnicalParadox says:

I’m pretty sure you can fit more then 5 games on 500 gigs.. Games take around 10 gbs right now, it’s not going to increase by much, maybe 15gb max, thats a lot more then 5 games. Saying that they will take 100gbs is absurd. You obviously don’t know what your talking about at all.

  21. MRMARKSMAN1581 says:

nope with ps4 you have to be a ps+ member to play online for ps4 which is $50 a year but that is $10 cheaper that a yearly membership on xbox live

  22. Bangcat says:

Both companies should be trusted only so far, but no the xboxone never over took anything. Many will get it now as well, I may be one of them. But with their recent maneuvers, they’re still currently damaged goods when it comes to the morale vote.

Reality is, Microsoft was trying to press way more control and requirements than people were comfortable with and that petition to put the DRM back in isn’t going to work and being signed in part by Sony fan boys who really want to hurt it further.

  23. Bangcat says:

I have analyzed his representation of his mother’s voice and have come to the conclusion that his mother is Bonno from U2! 😀

  24. Frankie2751 says:

If five games take up the 500 GBs of space…then doesnt that mean the PS4 will also run out of space too?

  25. Frankie2751 says:

Wait how is sony twisting their words? You don’t have to pay to be online. meaning i could use the web search, youtube, netflix, hulu, and any other subscribed apps i have without having to pay for PS+. SOme games dont need PS+ and Planetside 2 is one of them. Other games yes, if you want to play BF4 or COD or whatever, you’ll have to pay18 bucks for 3 months or 50 for a year. For someone like me who already pays for GOld, PS+ has my support so the online plays smoother
