TX 300 doesn’t have an active digitizer, so it’s not good enough for some use cases. Is a nice looking unit though (but then, so is Surface).
The only thing that is sucks in Surface Pro is the battery life.

I am sorry but I am not familiar with asus products. I typed transformer and I got android on the front page. The product is overall great but the price tag is huge too. Surface pro is a little bit cheaper with less features but I own the surface rt. No complain here.

TX 300 Transformer is a full fledged Windows 8 platform with a 128GB SSD and expandable HDD up to 500GB and battery life with the keyboard. Do your homework a bit better next time.

Compare its performance and price with the Asus’s recent transformer and you’ll see what’s wrong with it.

No, it does not. Since it’s running windows RT and not the full windows 8 it does not catch the most common .exe viruses.
