I have the same slate as in the video. I bought onenote 2010. I straight forward does not work on windows 8. No pinch zoom at all. very hard to select and type with stylus and touch input.

He is showing the free app. which seems to work well. Do not get the office version.

Very very nice posting – one of the best I have seen in a very long time. Solid content and very compelling style. I subscribe to PluralSight, watch Channel9 and that’s way above what I have seen so far. You’re very talented, I am subscribing to the channel right now. Thanks and Kudos.

you will have to pay for office in windows 8 UNLESS you buy a windows 8 rt tablet, then office will be free….if you are just upgrading on your laptop you will have to pay either flat out, or pay a subscription

Please increase the bitrate of the microphone you use to record with, Its clear but sounds really low quality, not what I would expect from a company such as Microsoft.

Great video though, keep them coming :)

Please never use this capturing setup again, you got terrible frame rates. It is better to just film the tablet.

Do i have to pay for the new office software that has One Note 2013, etc or is it for free ? I bought my windows 7 laptop last year…and I got office 2010 with it. So at the moment, I have One Note 2010. I’m planning to upgrade to windows 8 on 26th ( can’t wait ! )…so will I have to pay for the new Office separately or do I get it for free with the windows 8 upgrade ?
    :) thanks !
